Golf packages do the logistics for you. Flights from Detroit and Dallas are the catch, and the house listings ban groups.
Three nights plus three rounds in condos for about $300 per golfer, with Caledonia and True Blue under $130 from late June. One daily Delta nonstop from Detroit and $600 plus summer fares from Dallas hold it back.
Packager golf villas sleeping up to 20 are the safer route than a beach house.

Early May is near peak pricing. May 17 onward is shoulder and June 22 onward is the trough. That is the single biggest cost lever here.

Three to five minivans along Highway 17 for golf (ask the packager about shuttles), rideshare for Broadway at the Beach and the MarshWalk. Atlanta guys can drive the 349 miles in about 6.5 hours.
